The white castle of the hill — arched windows in every wall, and a rooftop terrace open to the whole bay.
Kale is the biggest of the three houses, and the one the hill is proudest of. A round living room gathers the view through red-framed arches; upstairs, the rooftop terrace takes all of it at once — Sığacık bay, the marina, the windmills on the far ridge. At night the house glows like a small fortress, which is exactly what its name means.
